History and Culture

The Mexika Spiritual Movement has begun, and will grow as we prepare for the 21st Century. The focus of this movement is in three areas: Spirituality, History, and Culture. Of the three areas, spirituality is most important.

Today’s Mexicano spiritual movement involves sacrifices made for the benefit of our oppressed brothers and sisters. Those sacrifices include fasting, prayer, and a willingness to give of one’s self for the sake of our ancestry, and to end unjust hardships imposed upon us even today. Sacrifices are not easy, and they can only be embraced by those who learn Mexicayotl, using it as their source of knowledge , strength, and conviction in the truth about our people.

First, we must research all the primary sources and plan the foundation of our cultural schools. Our first task is to learn more about our roots. Know that our roots are still alive! Long ago, Spanish historians including Torquemada, Sahagun, Duran, Molina, Mendieta, Cortes, and Diaz del Castillo wrote biased yet enlightening works. They were enlightening because they revealed certain truths about our people that once learned, will enable us to seize the time like never before!
